Password and Login

I've lost or forgotten my password.
No problem, click here: Lost Password. A form will appear. Fill it in and your password will be e-mailed to you.

I've logged in several times and read the news, now I'm getting a "Login Failed" message.
Logins are limited to a fixed number per week, please phone the office at 446-4130.

On one browser, the news displays automatically, on another, I have to login. Why?
We believed an automatic login, on the browser most often used, would be appreciated by subscribers. Rather tahn setting an exclusive and restrictive cookie, however, logins could be made from another machine or browser.

I have logged in automatically, but no headlines or past issues show up.
The automatic logins depend on server-side sessions to determine if you have a valid login to the article server. Try holding your Ctrl key and pressing the R button on your keyboard to refresh the session.

Flash Player

Why do I need Flash Player?
The poll conducted in early 2003 showed that over 90% of subscribers read ALLnovascotia.com on screen. That, combined with evidence that many copies of the pdf files got passed around, led to a search for a more secure way to deliver the news. Hence, the use of Flash.

When I click "Today's Issue" all I see is green.
That frequently happens when the Flash movie first loads. To resolve it press Ctrl+R (Hold down the "Ctrl" key, and while holding it down, press "R".) This forces your browser to reload the page.

The fonts in the Flash Movie are tiny
